The concept of re-purposing implies that you are perfect as you are, however you may be trying to win at the wrong game. A quick story the history of post-its.  Post-its was originally a failed experiment.  A scientist at 3M was attempting to make a super-strong adhesive but the result was a compound that could only hold up a piece of paper.  Everyone saw it is a failure, until he started using them at his desk and realized how useful they were.  Now, post-its is a multi-million dollar market simply because a perceived failure was re-purposed.
